Let the tile air dry for 10 20 minutes before brushing it again with your dry brush again.
Repair hole in tile wall.
As it dries but while it is still rubbery take a razor blade and trim off the excess resin.
Measure the space between the tiles.
Mix more thin set adhesive and apply it evenly to the wall with a notched trowel.
Grab a clean dry brush and run it back and forth over the tile to knock any dirt or dust off.
If the width is 1 8 of an inch or smaller use an unsanded grout.
Wipe the area around the hole and brush away any loose debris.
Using a putty knife you are going to apply the resin to the hole.
Set the cleaned tiles into the adhesive bed aligning the grout joints with the existing tile.
This leaves unsightly holes in your tiles and an opening for water to enter the inside of your walls.
Auto body repair filler is the preferred material of choice for covering holes in ceramic bathroom tiles but you can also use silicone caulk or pre mixed grout to cover them.
If removing the old tiles and replacing them is not an option you can patch the holes instead.
Mix up some of the resin and apply it to the holes in the tile making sure that you overfill the holes.
It s important to use as much ceramic tile filler as the hole will allow.
Make sure to let the entire filler dry.
Use plastic spacers between tiles to maintain uniform grout lines.
If the space is larger than 1 8 of an inch use a sanded grout.
Take some 600 grit sandpaper and sand the resin smooth.
Then grab a damp towel and wipe the opening and surrounding area with the cloth.
Choose the correct type of grout based on the width of your tile joints and where the repair is being done.
Wet the sandpaper with a little water to make it work the best.
You want to fill the hole entirely and get the patch level to the shower or tub wall.
